8 Attributes Of God’s Glory

8 Attributes Of God’s Glory

No one who had ever encounter the glory of God goes with shame or reproach. Because it reveals your true position and shows you where you are lacking.

For as high as the heavens are from the earth so His thoughts are different from our thoughts. And His ways far beyond anything man could imagine says the LORD.

God in His unique and gracious love towards us His children, promised us many wonderful things. Which one of them is that we will be careers of His glory.

God created humankind, to give us the opportunity to become the very sons and daughters of God. According to (2 Corinthians 6:17-18).

If we are to become part of God’s own family. One of the attributes we must receive is the glory of God.

The glory of God is the supreme beauty and greatness of God’s manifold perfections, character, worth, and attributes.

Revelation 15:8 talks about the effect of God’s glory. “The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power.

No one could enter it until the seven angels had finished emptying out the seven last problems.

We also read in Revelation 21:23, which says that the city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it. For the glory of God brightened it and the Lamb is its light.”

Therefore, an important attribute of God’s very being is that He is gloriously shining with sparkling splendor.

Moses led the people of Israelite to Mount Sinai after God delivered them from Egyptians bondage. After speaking the 10 Commandments.

God told Moses to come up on the mountain to receive the records Exodus 24:12-17. The Israelite saw God’s glory as a devouring fire on the top of the mountain.

Now the glory of the LORD rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day, God called to Moses out of the middle of the cloud.

The brightness of the glory of the LORD was like a consuming fire in the eyes of the children of Israel.”

Also on the mount of Carmel, the glory of God was revealed, And the prophets of Baal were put to death while the God of Israel was worshiped.

When the glory comes, the fire of God consumes every altar, that is raised against His people.

As God told the children of Israel that if they will obey Him and make their ways pleasing unto Him, then the joy of the LORD will be their strength.

No matter how mountainous your challenges might have been, you shall climb over all of them, all you need is to become a carrier of God’s glory.

Many people today are on the wrong track. Going from one church to another prayer house looking for solutions and answers to prayers.

When their hearts are lucked with evil. They have disappointed God, mankind, and many of their admirers who are looking on to them for emulation.

Because they lack the glory of God in them. Revelation 3:20 says, Behold I stand at the door of your heart knocking. If only you will hear my voice and open the door I will come in and feast with you.

All you need is to open your heart for the Lord to come in. Because the glory of God is an inheritance from God for all His own children.

Whenever it is revealed to you, you will automatically become a solution to people’s problems. The glory of God is an agent of change in the life of its career.

Both in his lifestyle, the character, the environment he is in, his speech, his relationship with people around him, etc. But immediately the glory of God leaves a man.

He becomes a problem, an instrument of distraction for everyone around him. An empty vessel, that can make a hail lot of noise but could not produce anything meaningful.

Esau and Jacob were born the same day by the same parents, Esau went against God’s will and married a foreign woman.

And the bible says he brought bitterness to his parents, but Jacob obeyed God’s instruction and he brought forth the 12 tribes of Israel.

Gehazi left God’s divine direction and instruction that was given to his master not to receive Naaman’s precious gifts. And went and collected those gifts from Naaman, which later made Gehazi leprous.

The worst thing that can happen to an eagle is for that eagle not to fly. It is a big tragedy for Samson who was a hero to become a grinder of pepper for a woman.

He lost his two eyes and couldn’t actualize his full destiny because he went against God’s instruction and His glory left him.

David’s way was pleasing to the Lord and having encountered God’s glory, he was able to come against the giant Goliath and kill him.

If you must arise to become a success you must be a carrier of God’s glory.

1. Isaiah saw his sinful nature and said, ”woe is me. For I am undone for I have seen the glory of GodIsaiah 6:5.

Whenever the glory is revealed to you, it will show you your inability and shortcomings before God.

2. Seeing the glory of God brings the divine calling of God upon our lives. When Isaiah saw himself, he knew he was sinful, and needed cleansing.

When the glory comes to you. You will observe that backbiting, segregation, gossip, and division are also sinful not only fornication and stealing.

3. The glory will show us that God is in need of our services, Isaiah said to the Lord, ”Lord, here am I, send me”. When the glory comes, you will always see what to do for the Lord.

Isaiah said to the Lord, ”wherever you send me, I will go”. Great champions will always cry, “O God! What would you have me do for you, they are after God’s mind”

4. Another thing the glory will do to us is consecration; some of us have not given ourselves wholly to God in His service.

We do not really have consecration in the area of giving and services even in the house of God, but when we see the glory, our attitude toward giving will improve.

5. The glory see the environment we are in, Isaiah said to the Lord, Woe is me, for I am dwelling among the people of unclean lips, woe is me.

When the glory comes, you will see the environment that you are in, the type of people living there.

6. The glory of God shows you the real you and actually helps us understand our own future! Apostle Paul in Romans 8:16-18: pointed out that “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit.

That we are the children of God. And that the sufferings of this present day are not worthy to be equated with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

7. The glory of God gives you the ability to obey. Imagine Joseph, a Godfearing man who decided to obey God’s instruction.

To take in a pregnant woman who he was not responsible for her pregnancy. He did not mind what people may say about him.

Because the glory of God gives one the enablement to move on even in the midst of obstacles. Amidst all the gossips and scandals Joseph was bent on doing the will of God.

It was as a result of that same pregnancy that Joseph received his fame and greatness. That he was included in the genealogy of His Lord, Jesus the son of God.

He became great by being the earthly father of the Saviour of the whole world.

8. Moses’ mother refused to give out her son to be killed. Rather she hid him for three months in the house. And when she could no longer hide him, she put him in a small basket out on the river.

When Moses was discovered by one of Pharaoh’s daughters. Moses’ mother was chosen to nurse him and for the reward of her faith and the glory, she carries.

She was also paid for nursing her own baby. Every greatness begins with God’s direction, which comes when the glory of God is active.

When you draw on God’s grace to put off your self-centered attitudes and act on His principles, you put His glory on display.

Your life now points to His endless wisdom, compassion, supremacy, and transforming power. The impact of His glory in your life reaches far beyond yourself.

Because you give everyone around you reasons to appreciate and praise God. Praising God is not all about letting others see how great you are.

It’s about letting people around you see how great the Lord is.
